With the end of Chapter 3 in "A Wrinkle in Time", I can begin to see why some people would want to see this book banned. The supernatural start to come in play as Mrs. Who, Whatsit, and Which are apparently witches of some kind, and plan to start and help the kids in their journey to found their father. I was really surprised when the author decided to take a line straight out of Macbeth that the witches say in the beginning of the play,
"When shall we three meet again,
In thunder, lightning, or in rain."
This gave the mood a bit of darkness, as I can remember the witches quite clearly from Macbeth, and even though some can say the witches were not evil, they were very dark and discreet. If I were to take this as foreshadowing, I can tell that the witches are planning to do more than just help the children, and that will not necessarily be a good thing.
