O joy, more reasons to rant at Meg.
Spoilers
The three Mrs. W's finally appear, called by the aliens on the planet where the 3 have tessered to. Not even greeting or thanking them for their gifts that saved their lives, she starts a tirade targeted at her father, telling them that he could not do anything and that Charles was taken by IT. They reply calmly but with a hint of annoyance at her attitude however, and their "unwillingness" which is in fact, their inability, to do nothing starts to piss Meg off real bad. She starts accusing people again, screaming at the three witches for not wanting to help and her father for not doing anything. After a while, she starts taking out her anger on the aliens, asking why they won't help and pounding on the alien that had taken care of her during their stay on the planet.
At this point, I just had to put down the book in fear of ripping it into pieces. Yes, I'm the kind of person that could get mad by even reading a book. Generally, I don't get mad easily, but when people start acting like Meg is, I tend to lash out unexpectedly, and sadly I can not control myself in these kinds of situations, which usually lead me in to trouble. Thankfully, there haven't been many times that has happened in my life and I hope this does not cause trouble for me later on. Anyway, back to the story.
Finally, Meg comes to her senses, and becomes a much nicer character. This however, doesn't solve the main problem: getting Charles away from IT. Mrs. Who, Whatsit and Which however, believe that Meg is the only one that can get Charles back safely. Armed with more gifts, she ventures off once again to the world of IT. Confronting IT head to head, she recalls the words of Mrs.Who, "there is one thing that you have that IT will never understand, and that might be enough to destroy IT." Thinking for a long time, she comes to the conclusion that IT will never feel love, and she starts screaming I love you Charles and all this mushy stuff that gets so close to incest, but not quite. That obviously does the trick and IT's control over everything falters, and the cliche of everything falling apart once the main boss/villain is defeated happens. The witches suddenly appear however, and they are sent home, together as one family.
Happily Ever After.
Don't you just love happy endings?
